Setting Up Uniform Ordering for Your Team

This info was for the Fall '17 / Spring '18 seasons -- expect an update for Fall '18 / Spring '19 soon!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setting Up Uniform Ordering for Your Team on soccer.com, our Vendor Site

To enable your players to order uniforms, you need to enter them into the back end of our Rivertowns United FC Competitive store at soccer.com. Each team needs to have a roster administrator - this what soccer.com calls the person who will go into your team page, enter player names, unique jersey numbers, and parent emails. Communicate with your team coaches to determine who is “it” for your team.

For new teams, you will need to add all your players. You can assign unique jersey numbers, or you can poll your players (parents) and ask them to send you their picks, which you will then enter in.

For existing teams, any player who played travel last year for your team, will already be in the system under your team. You will need to enter players new to your team -- and delete players no longer with the team.

Use this step-by-step guide -- ROSTER ADMIN OVERVIEW -- provided by soccer.com on how to do the roster admin for your team -- please take the time to read it before sending a one-off question. It has all the answers. The actual web address is:

https://www.clearslide.com/view/mail?iID=KwGTmsFrgbzR2S2PGjPJ

Here is some helpful info from your local club - please read before sending questions.

1. You need to have a soccer.com account to be a roster admin, and you have to be granted roster admin privileges by the club overlord. If you didn’t get a “roster admin” email from soccer.com, this means you don’ t have a soccer.com account. Go to soccer.com and create an account under your email, then email rufc324@gmail.com to say “please make me a roster admin” and provide the email address associated with your account.

2. Once you are a roster admin, log into soccer.com and take care of business. If you have a “feel” for this type of thing, it should be apparent with a few “what? … aha!” moments.

[Summary -- Roster admin function, find your team on the dropdown, edit your team -- meaning do the following as needed: add players, delete players, add unique jersey numbers, add parent emails. After that, trigger the system email. The system does the work of sending an email to parents saying “here is the link to buy your player’s uniform."]

Need help? Use the link to the ROSTER ADMIN OVERVIEW provided above.

NOTE: we don’t add coaches to our soccer.com rosters, our uniform don’t have player names on them, and differentiating player position has no effect on the jerseys.

3. IMPORTANT: Send your team a heads up, telling them to expect an email from soccer.com (the actual email address is from sportsendeavors.com) -- and if they don’t get it, to let you know.

Last year everyone had to order a uniform, because we switched to a new style. This year, all new players MUST order a new uniform. For returning players from last year, there is no mandate to order new uniforms unless they have outgrown it or unless there is a jersey number conflict from combining teams (you will need to manage this aspect).

*** If a NEW player joins your team after you do the initial set up, be it a few days later or a month later, log back in and add that player to soccer.com so that they can purchase a uniform with a unique jersey number.***
