Volunteer / Board Member for 2025/2026
AYSO 2025-2026 CORE PROGRAM
Welcome to AYSO Region 399! We are an all volunteer organization providing a Fall-Spring soccer program for children from pre-K through middle school - the largest soccer program in Elmhurst! Participation is open to all and your child is guaranteed a spot on a team if you register by June 1st.
We will continue using paid trainers to run practices for all of our age groups, so teams will be assigned a practice time and coaches will work with their individual teams under the guidance of a trainer. This helps the kids develop their skills and helps our volunteer parents in running a practice.
Our goal is to help kids develop soccer skills while fostering a love of the game and we do so by following AYSO's Six Philosophies:
While we will aim to schedule all games on Saturdays, depending on the number of fields AYSO is allotted by the Elmhurst Park District, some games may be scheduled on Friday evenings or Sundays. The Fall 2025 portion of the season will run for 8 weeks between August and October and the Spring 2026 portion of the season will run for 8 weeks starting in mid-April. Your fee pays for all 16 weeks.
**No refunds will be given for cancellations after June 15th**
You can select any of the "Register Now" buttons below and once the process starts, the system will present the division your child is eligible for based on their birthday. The divisions are set up to correspond to grade level for the 2025-2026 school year (i.e. birthdays from September 1st through August 31st of the following year are in one division).
**If your child's birthdate does not correspond with their grade, register for the division available based on the birthdate and then email Janice Castillo ([email protected]) with that information and we will move your child to the correct division so they can play with their actual grade level.**
Note: in June we will review the registrations for each division and determine if any divisions should be combined. We typically combine U9 and U10 in one division and U11 and U12 in one division with boys and girls separate, so we have U10 Boys, U10 Girls, U12 Boys and U12 Girls. U13 and U14 Boys and Girls are typically are combined into one Coed Division where all of the players practice together and are divided into teams each week based on availability.
2025-2026 AYSO VIP (Special Needs)
The Mission of the AYSO VIP (Very Important Player) Program is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams. This year, instead of each VIP being paired with a buddy, there will be one coach and a few additional volunteers on the field who help our VIPs to learn new skills, focus on the game and have fun. Accommodations are made to support all players on the field and can be a mixture of sensory supports, behavioral supports or adaptive equipment. VIP coaches and volunteers are flexible and positive.
