REGISTRATION NEWS & INFORMATION

FALL REGISTRATION  - OPENS MAY 5th,  2017

Registration for the Fall season opens May 5th and runs thru June 30.  The Fall season begins Sept. 9th, 2017.  Players that wish to register after the June 30 Open Registration deadline may be added to the WAIT LIST (see below).  To start registration, click on the top menu bar "Registration."  Plan on Sept. 9th and 1 0r 2 weeks of practice before that. These dates will stick but notification from your coach will come late.  In efforts to have balanced teams, the team rosters are released in late August after securing enough coaches and volunteers to run all the divisions.  This is an all volunteer organization.

Also new this year, national AYSO has added a fee of $17.50 to each registration. This goes to the national organization.  This affects every region in AYSO, not just Region 92.  If you need to cancel your registration after paying fees, this portion is non-refundable.

OPEN REGISTRATION

One of the AYSO philosophies is OPEN REGISTRATION.  That means that a player does not have to live within the Region’s boundaries to register and play in that Region.  Player’s may register in any region they choose.  We hope you choose Region 92 for the active communit, fun play and dedicated volunteers.

NEW PLAYERS

Players that are new to Region 92 must provide proof of age via birth certificate or passport.  This can be done in person at registration on May 13th or by scanning the document and sending it to aysoregion92registrar@gmail.com.

Returning players can complete the entire registration process online on this website.

In person registration is Saturday May 13th, 2017 (2pm - 5pm) at Bizhaus - 1730 E. Holly St., El Segundo.

RETURNING PLAYERS

Players that have previously participated in AYSO soccer in Region 92 need to create a new account on this new Region 92 website. It will then link to the previous player information from eAyso.  You can complete the entire registration and payment process on this website under registration.  All registration is by credit card only for online or in person.  If registration must be check or cash, see section below.

REGISTRATION PERIOD AND WAITING LIST

All players submitting their registration and fee by the June 30 registration deadline will be placed on a team.  Players submitting their registration and fees after the June 30 registration event will be placed on a wait-list with no guarantee of being placed on a team.  You will be notified in late August when teams are formed and wait lists are used.

PLAYER AGE

AYSO allows registration of players from age 4 to age 18, based on the player’s age as of Dec. 31, 2017.   Online registration will automatically calculate the player’s age and appropriate division.  Players that are 13-years old and entering high school and want to play on the high school soccer team should consider moving up to the U16 Division to comply with CIF eligibility requirements.  See the Region 92 Move Up Guidelines or contact the program administrator by email at ayso92info@gmail.com.

VOLUNTEERS

AYSO is always looking for great volunteers.  Coaches, Team Parents, Referees and Board Members can also register online.  First time volunteers must present their application in person and present a Driver’s License, government issued photo ID, or passport to verify identity.  Volunteers must also submit their SSN (encrypted in the eAYSO system) and agree to a background check to help protect our children.

PAYMENT BY CHECK OR CASH

If unable to pay online or in person with a credit card, here are the necessary steps.  Register online, print out the application and do not proceed through the payment screens.  Your registration will be waiting in your shopping cart and you will receive reminder emails about items in your cart.  Bring the printed out registration form and pay for it at the in person registration (May 13th or June 25th). Besides the registration fee, and the AYSO processing fee of $17.50, there will be another $1 processing fee.  Be aware, it can take 48-72 hours to process this payment and confirm registration at AYSO region 92.

REFUNDS

We ask that you give us as much advanced notice as possible if your child will not be able to play in the upcoming season as balanced team formation may be significantly impacted.  Players withdrawing prior to Aug 15 will be issued a full refund LESS THE $17.50 FEE CHARGED BY AYSO NATIONAL per player .  Between Aug 16 and Sep 15, a partial refund may be provided.  There will be no refunds after Sep 15.
All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing using the attached FORM and either emailed to the Registrar: aysoregion92registrar@gmail.com or mailed to the Region 92 mail box.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Our policy is that parents/guardians should finance their children’s registration fee to the extent that they are able in support of our programs. In that our goal is maximum participation, a “playership” fund has been established in our Region to assist families in need with the registration fee. An AYSO playership is based on financial need of families who are not able to pay for all or part of their child’s registration in order to participate. Because there are limited funds available, the playerships will go to families who demonstrate the greatest need while funds remain available.

Criteria:

* Parents/ guardians must complete the eayso.org online registration for Region 92 and submit the Hugo Bustamante Playership application form (link below) and required documentation no later than Jun 30 to the address listed below. All information provided will be held in complete confidence.
* Financial assistance will be considered for those able to provide documentation that supports the financial need such as proof of current government financial aid or that the child is a participant a school lunch program or a copy of your Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services approved Welfare or Food Stamp Eligibility I.D. card.
* AYSO will also give priority consideration to recommendations received from government agencies, social agencies or school administrators.
* You may not apply for Financial Aid after you have registered and paid the full fee; there are no retroactive refunds.

Mail the completed Application Form and documentation along with a copy of the completed registration form to:
