Q: What happened to eAYSO website and registration?

A: National AYSO has decided to retire the eAYSO registration process on their website.  eAYSO will be available for a little while longer, but it is destined to be phased out when the bluesombrero website becomes fully functional.  A couple of advantages of using this website are 1) No longer need to come to a live registration like in the past.  2) Registration can all be done online including payment.

Q: How do I sign my child up to play soccer?

A: Please create an account by clicking REGISTER NOW in the upper right of the page and follow the directions.  Read this FAQs window concerning general registration questions and procedures.

Q: When are the Seasons?

A: The Fall season is our primary season (registration in Mar/Apr), with practices starting in August and games going from September to November (usually 10 games in total).  The Winter/Spring program (program signup in Sep/Oct) is a follow on to the Fall season, with some of the age groups starting in the Winter and some starting in the Spring as per the following schedule:

SEASON DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Winter (December – March)
U08 Girls(Holanialii Park)
U10 Boys and Girls (Primary and Extra) (YMCA Field)
U12-14 Boys and Girls (Primary and Extra) (16 Acres and Kealohi Park)

U06 Boys and Girls (Boys at Mauka, Girls at YMCA field)

Q: I just finished Registering my child, what is next?

A: Your registration application will be processed, coaches identified and trained, teams formed, uniforms ordered and a game schedule made.  Once all of this takes place, expect a call from your child’s coach in the month before games start.  Practices will be 2 a week for children in U8 and above, once a week for U6, and no practices for U5 Jamboree, games will be Saturday mornings/afternoons.  Location and dates will be provided by your coach.  Game uniforms (Jersey, shorts and socks) will be provided to you, however, you will need to purchase shinguards, soccer cleats and a soccer ball.  Soccer balls come in different sizes, so please use the chart below to purchase one:

U5 – U8: Number 3 soccer ball

U10-U12: Number 4 soccer ball

U14-U19: Number 5 soccer ball

Q: How long are the soccer games?

A: Depends on the age group. All ages play two halves, with quarter breaks. U5 and U6 have 10-minute halves, U8 has 20-minute halves, U10 goes 25 minutes, U12 goes 30 minutes, U14 goes 35 minutes, U16 goes 40 minutes and U19 goes 45 minutes.

Q: How is Region 119 Run?

A: The region is an all volunteer, community run organization.  It is run by a board, with a regional commissioner in charge.  Other board positions are Treasurer, Registrar, Secretary, Field Manager, Equipment Manager, Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CPVA), Referee Administrator, Coach Administrator and an Age Group Coordinator (AGC) for each division (U5 through U16, boys and girls).  AGC’s coordinate to find volunteer coaches for the teams, and the teams provide volunteers to referee games.  By running the AYSO regions with all volunteers, we can keep the costs of operation at a minimum, provide good training, challenging games, opportunity for children to develop soccer skills and an overall soccer learning experience for all involved. Players who have their parents involved do better. They pass on their soccer game experience to their children later in life. The region runs smoothly when parents help and volunteers for needed positions are fulfilled. When parents don’t help the going gets very rough.  WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!  You can help the region in many ways. If you are interested please contact us!

Q: What Age Group will my child play in?

A: AYSO Region 119 follows AYSO National Guidelines for assigning players to Age Groups.  See the Player Age Group Chart on the TAB.

AYSO Region 119 Player Refund Policy:

Q: We had a change of plans, can we get a refund?

A: Generally speaking the Regions has a “No Refund” policy, which is posted at our registration nights and is an alert shown on the EAYSO web site when applying for a registration.  There are a few extenuating circumstances listed below, along with a link to the refund request form that is processed through your coach and/or Age Group Coordinator:

Any player wishing a full refund must request so before the last Registration date.  All refunds will be assessed a $17.50 National non-fundable Player fee. Once teams have been formed and uniforms ordered, refunds will not be given except for the following reasons:

    • Player moves to another Region
    • Lack of players to form a team
    • Season cancelled due to insufficient teams in the Area
    • Player injured before 1st practice of the season
    • Military Transfer of Family
    • Other: must specify the emergency and provide documentation

All refunds must be requested using the following form and must be submitted through your Age Group Coordinator:  Player Refund Request Form
