AYSO Scholarship Awards
General Information:
These awards are presented at the annual soccer banquet. All AYSO awards are typically up to $200 each. Recipients must play soccer for the New Hartford school district. Typically we try to present two awards in each category to seniors (one boy and one girl), but the awards can go to any deserving player. New Hartford AYSO may adjust the quantity and distribution of awards as needed. There are three different awards as described below, along with a sample presentation.
Missy Love Award:
This award is for an AYSO volunteer (coach, referee, or other) who has shown outstanding commitment to helping others. It is desirable but optional that the recipients have played AYSO.
Presenter: This award is given to honor the memory of AYSO Board Member Missy Love. It is for the athlete who embodies the spirit of volunteerism. Trevor Hart Award:
This award is for an athlete who has played AYSO and exemplifies the AYSO spirit of having fun playing soccer. It is important that he/she has a positive attitude and good sportsmanship.
Presenter: This award is given to honor the memory of AYSO player Trevor Hart. The athletes who will receive this award have exemplified the AYSO spirit of having fun while playing soccer. Youth Referee Award:
This award recognizes youth volunteers who referee for AYSO. It is desirable but optional that the recipients have played AYSO.
