Breakers ‘01 Green Win Grand Rapids Crew Cup Tourney

(Pictured from left to right) Front Row: Natalia Asimakis, Meg Gallagher, Ava Stander, Abby Guevara Back Row: Izzy Brusilow, Maddie Millls, Katie Birgbauer, Kennedy Bearden, Coach Eric Springer The Breakers ’01 Green team coached by Eric Springer swept victories in four straight games at the Grand Rapids Crew Cup held on August 27-29 to win the U10 title. The Breakers beat the Novi Jaguars 5-0 in the first game. In game 2, they edged the Fentwood Falcons 3-2. The Breakers kept rolling in game 3 with a convincing 7-3 win over the host Grand Rapids Crew. In the championship game, the Breakers completed their title run with a 4-1 decision over Ole SE. Congratulations to coach Springer and his Breakers ’01 Green team on a great tournament!
