Cranford Fury at Piscataway Fall Classic
Fury went two for two on the weekend. On Saturday the team was victorious over EUSA 5-1 in the morning match with Matt Holleran contributing 2 goals in the effort, and Joe Carrea, Drew Goldfeder and Jack Duane netting one goal a piece in a dominant showing by the Cranford squad. In the second match on Saturday, Fury again showed their command of the pitch as they knocked off a strong Clark team 4 to 1. Holleran was a force in the game, putting 3 goals in the back of the net. Duane added a goal for the Fury, his second of the day.
On Sunday, Cranford faced a strong side from Metuchen and fell 4-1. Holleran racked up his 6th goal of the weekend for the Fury. In the second game the Fury lost a well-fought match against Piscataway 2-1. Liam Walsh had the lone Cranford goal of the match on a volley off a corner kick from Gavin Jones.
